ANNA SCOBIE
Current works of art.
The following images are selected works from the exhibiton suburbanest 29 Nov - 16 Dec 2012. A group show with artists Ruth Feeney, Taryn Raffan and Anna Scobie. This show explored the ideas of modern comfort, rituals and nest making. Scobie's work examined the patterns and acceptable moulds we are expected to present in a suburban environment. She has used carved, turned and painted forms to create two tribes in her playful sculptures, the 'straightie-one-eighties' and the 'can't-change your spots'. These modern tribal patterns can be seen on houses, fences and other suburban symbols. See details of exhibition at: http://www.paperplanegallery.com
